If you find you have duplicate contact records wtihin Actionstep, you can resolve this by detleting the duplicate. However Actionstep will not allow you to delete a contact if it has related matters or accounting transactions to the contact.
Check and make sure there are no matters linked to the duplicate contact by going to the incorrect contact and check under the matters tab (see below).
If there are linked matters, you will need to remove from all the matters within the parties/roles tab before you can delete.
We also recommend you edit the name of the contact at this point to add ine "-Duplicate" to the name of the contact so that its clear which one is the duplicate.
Once duplicate contact has been deleted, you will then have to go back to those matters and re-add the correct contact.
